Ferret Adoption Application

All prospective adopters must fill out an adoption form completely. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please specify the animal(s) you are interested in.
Potential adopters under 18 must have a parent / guardian fill out an application form as well. For legal reasons, the parent / guardian must be the primary adopter in these cases and be willing to take on the full care of the animal if needed.
Please note: It is the responsibility of adopters to provide proper husbandry and care for any animal they adopt. Scales & Tails is not responsible for any injury to humans, other pets, nor any vet bills incurred.
Scales and Tails, Inc. is a small NJ based rescue organization with several foster homes. Scales and Tails, Inc. also lists other ferrets outside the organization. Applications for these ferret (or animals) will be forwarded to the other organizations or people who are in possession of that ferret (animal).
Please read our adoption process and procedures information before completing an application.
We will not ship ferrets or adopt out of country. Ferrets are available in the NY/NJ/PA Tri-State area only. If you are not in this area, please check this list for shelters in your area.
